Clinch: you both flare up, and you both come back

Your fights are fast and loud, usually over something small. You both say things you shouldn’t, and you both regret it later. Made up yesterday, fighting again today. Sometimes you end up in the wrong, sometimes she does, and oddly enough, that’s a good sign.

It means the conflict hasn’t settled into a pattern with a permanent loser. It wears you both out, but it can be turned around, and it usually gets fixed with structure: how long a talk lasts, when it starts, and where the pauses go.
